For this assignment, you will write an original poem and perform it. There is a lot of room for you to follow your own inspiration here! The only guidelines are as follows:

Topic: An issue of great importance to you.

Look at your personal life, your school community, your neighborhood, the world at large.

Draw from current events and/or personal anecdotes to deliver your message.

Topic Examples: corrupt leaders, social injustice, poverty, socioeconomic injustice, racial injustice, gender and sexual orientation/discrimination.
